Back to the beginning... with the layout anyway. I've decided it's been too long since I've been regularly posting and too much of a hassle with layouts, so, this blog is dead. I've jumped on the bandwagon... and gotten a livejournal. *sighs and commits seppuku*

Wow. I'm fucking pissed off.
Some jackass from a frat just called in with a rush survey asking progressively embarassing questions, giving me a hard time when I didn't answer.
There's probably a group of morons in another room listening laughing their asses off right now.
This is one of those times where I hate myself, you know?

Dude... YM/M fics are SO terrible... Yami Marik isn't even remotely in character... I can't stand it.
Ugh. Anyway, in other news, I made it through my first week of college. In Strings class, I'm learning to play the violin. In theory, it's more of a review than anything... but I'm learning to conduct and do rhythms at the same time and how to sing solfege. (Singing sucks.) Orchestra is okay... it's nothing like Klein. Less strict and a lot more of the conductor talking about stupid things. He's apparently under the impression the high school orchestras suck. I went back and listened to the CDs just to make sure we didn't suck. In philosophy, I made an ass of myself by not having my notes and not being able to answer questions. The professor is so stereotypical--crazy poofy hair, half-untucked shirt, speaks softly with a slight lisp. World Religion is kind of boring so far... I think it's the professor. My roommate's okay. We get along well enough... but she's a lot messier than I am and we have nothing in common. She comes back at like four in the morning because her earliest class is at 11:30. Whatever.
I finished downloading Samurai Champloo, and it was frelling worth it. Tuesday hopefully I'll meet with some of the anime club here... lol, I have no friends. Well, I sort of can take that back. The other freshman cellist and I have had dinner together a couple of times. Her name's Sandra, appearance-wise, she reminds me of Marcelle, and she's got a younger sister who likes anime. It was funny, she asked me if I liked Naruto, and I was like 'woo-hoo! cellist who likes anime' but alas, she only knew of it because of her sister.
People here are... kind of preppy. No, really preppy. Like, girls wear skirts -all- the frelling time. I saw some guy in J-Rocker boots and I almost wanted to go up to him and thank him for being -different-. lmao, there was a girl with red Gaara hair and that, was truly awesome.

OMG~ my computer works!
Not.
So since my return from the cruise I went on with my grandmother (which, all I have to say is, I never want to see that woman in the next ten years) my computer likes to give me grief. Overall, a frustrating and irritating experience. Allen came over to help my mother and I, but it's still not working properly. Oh well. At least I have internet now.
Things noteworthy of the last of my summer:
- Hanging out with Rachel. Seriously, the time I spent with her was great. I wish we had gotten to know each other before school ended. I was a little... apprehensive about showing her Gravi and all, but ^~ haha, it was okay. Seeing the Yu-Gi-Oh movie was awesome. Squee~! Marik-fangirl-obsessiveness.
- Finding time to clean up my computer. Despite the fact that the internet wasn't working, much was accomplished about burning anime episodes off and whatnot.
- Preparing for the college dorm. I have so much -stuff-. I don't know how we're going to fit it all in there. Oh well. I've gotten some new things that make me happy. (The bedspread, new pillows, a Naruto wallscroll, and a Weiss Kreuz poster, among other things.)
- Connected with Rachel--getting back in -writing- fics instead of just reading them. I was on a definate low when it came to that (*cough* haven't updated in over a year...).
I got highlights put in my hair. Oo; And I said I wouldn't ever do it! Oh well. People change. It was just red coloring (lmao, ribbon red? aww, I <3 you), bringing out the "natural color of [my] hair," according to the hairdresser. Also got it cut... nothing too different. Rachel told me not to cut it short, so I didn't. Alecia (who I'm going to miss a LOT) told me not to get it cut short either. ^^; I caved in.
Chase, Robert, and Josh I saw over the weekend, so I got to see them once more; and Halley and Rachel called me today. I'm leaving tomorrow for college. I don't know what to think. I'm not sad, because I've been waiting to go to college for a long time now, but for some reason, I feel sort of empty. I dunno. Maybe it'll be better once I move in. And watch Yu-Gi-Oh episodes. -_-; *nerd* There's an hour special this weekend... in which, Yami Marik's and Yami's duel finishes. Which means we get pretty Marik back. :P
Okay, time to disassemble my computer now. As many problems it gives me, I still really need it and it has to get packed in the morning.
Not.

One last update...
I'm leaving today for Gatwick! Hehe, I'm excited. I'll be gone until the first week of August, on a cruise with my Gram. By, the time I come back, I'll be eighteen... ohohohoho!

The Big Post of Doom:
Thoughts on...
The Chicago Trip: Roomed with Halley, Emily, and Stephanie. We played pretty well, considering we had about three-four hours of sleep. After playing, we had to sit and wait for the band to play (listening to Memorial and a terrible band beforehand)... I kept falling asleep. We did lots of touristy stuff, including an art museum in lieu of Music Town (to buy sheet music, CDs, and whatnot) because it had gone out of business. I thought the lunch/cruise thing was silly, but whatever. Dances aren't my thing. We went down to the pier, which housed the largest McDonald's I have ever seen in my life. About seven-eighths of the pier was owned buy McDonald's, making it a frivolous stop in our trip. The highlight of the trip for me was the Blue Man Group. Their parody on modern music and art, among other things, was absolutely brilliant. We saw a rather silly film about the "future" species of Earth when we went to the dismal space center. Overall, it was pretty fun.
The Hospital: I think my visit wasn't unpleasant, as it was a children’s hospital. All those "sterile, white, and cold" stereotypes didn't quite fit it. The reason for my visit there was because my doctor thought I had appendicitis, when I came home early from school after nearly passing out (getting help from Nimrada and Mark, which I was very grateful for). ^^;; I thought I could last through sixth period, but... that wasn't the case. Anyway, so I got to the hospital, they rammed a huge-ass needle down my wrist, only to miss the vein and have to do it again in the crook of my elbow. I had to get an ultrasound and was drugged up for most of the night, hooked up to liquid dripping into me. Spent the night there in observation, the doctor gave me a medication, felt better, then went home. The next day I felt worse, got a CAT-scan, and they figured out I had a ruptured cist--I'm too young, I shouldn't have these. -_-;
APE: I went with Halley, lost money in Texas Hold 'Em, won it back in Black Jack (where Keith was sitting, lol, afterwards I told him it felt like the episode of Cowboy Bebop where Faye was introduced), didn't win anything, but did see a phony hypnotist, and had fun.
Graduation: My (maternal) grandmother and aunt came down to visit and watch the ceremony. I kept thinking that I should be over in the orchestra playing, not over here sitting in this blue gown. I didn't trip when crossing the stage, so that was a relief, haha. I sort of fell asleep around 'O' and woke up when they started the 'S's. ^^;; We went to eat at Caraba's afterward, then went back home. Having Aunt Shelley and Grandma there definitely made the experience more special.
A-Kon: Ah, the con was great. The hotel was a lot nicer than last year's, but I don't think it was as well organized (plus the trip across the street was slightly a nuisance). I didn't take as many pictures of cosplayers as I did last year, but I still got some nice ones. Let's see here... I bought a BUNCH of buttons, a couple con badges, some pins, a Gir car decal for my father, a Naruto decal for when Kyou gets faded on my car, two volumes of Those Who Hunt Elves, a red-green Magic deck, a pin for Keith (though I don't know when I'll see him to give it to him), and a Yami bookmark for Rachel. The band... Psycho le Cemu... as good of stage performance they had, and as funny as their "Psycho ball" skit was, their music sucked royally. Next year, I WILL buy doujinshi MWAHAHAHA... yes. That and do a serious cosplay... although, going around as Slytherins was quite fun.
The Family Vacation: Gram has problems, Suki is an annoying untrained stupid dog, Tim thinks he knows everything, desert port-o-potties filled to the brim, four hour drive across said desert, people nagging me about my shitty eating habits, the "oh-so-wonderful" Jason pianist not practicing the frelling hard piano part and screwing up, the feeling that I intruded on the bassist's turf. Summarized in one "sentence" because I don't want to go into detail.
Harry Potter 3: Despite the fact that it left out QUITE a bit of explanation, it was decent... and better than the second movie. As the actors mature, their acting skills are getting better. I was disappointed at the appearance of Remus Lupin (especially the mustache), but he did get the character right. Sirius was awesome. The tattoos, especially the ones on his hands, were frelling great. And next time anyone sees it, look in the right-hand side during the choir scene for THE CELLIST.
Freshman Orientation: I wasn't so enthusiastic about going to college after the first day of orientation... but after we had the assembly with the College of Music, I'm ready to go. Stuff that I griped about to myself about the high school orchestra and motivation, was addressed by the music administration. On that note, I contacted my roommate by email. We have just about nothing in common, except that we both want to play floor hockey and like music. That's okay though, I'm sure we'll get along, Alex seems really nice. I'm excited about going to Loyola. My mother and I have been shopping for bedding and other stuff to fill the dorm with, while Alex and I have been discussing it online. ^____^

Well... Tot's back up. I thought the Easter picture of Harvie and Critchon was funny, but, it's not even April any more. Oo;; I'm graduating in a few days...
